At the end of the Cretaceous period along with the Dinosaurs

Type of food eaten:

Carnivorous (flying insects, small lizards and fish, like modern day vultures they also scavenged on dead creatures).

Fossils found where:

Southern England, France, Germany and as far away as Tanzania and Africa.

Creature fact:

Despite appearances and the ability to fly, they are not related to birds or mammals (ie, bats); they are in fact, flying reptiles
